Endorsements

How to obtain ICTMG Endorsement

The ICTMG will consider endorsement of evidence-based clinical guidelines and recommendations that are aligned with its mission. When an endorsement request is approved, the ICTMG Methods Committee is tasked with reviewing the recommendations on behalf of the ICTMG membership.

If you or your organization wish to request an endorsement by the ICTMG, please contact the ICTMG Secretariat at info@ictmg.org and include a copy of the manuscript(s).

TAXI-CAB guidelines for the transfusion of platelets for critically ill children

Endorsed by ICTMG in April 2022

The ICTMG utilized a modified AGREE II tool to assess the quality and the methodological rigour of the guideline development process utilized by the TAXI-CAB program.  The ICTMG found that the guidelines followed a comprehensive search strategy and screening process. Although the evidence was found to be lacking in areas and the authors chose to make recommendations based on expert opinion, the guidelines, overall, achieved acceptable AGREE II ratings. The assessment was based on the following publications:
