Topic suggestion

We are always interested in hearing from individuals, professional societies and health care professionals about topics they feel would benefit from transfusion medicine guidelines. Topic are reviewed by the ICTMG Topic Selection Committee annually and prioritized according to a number of criteria including:

• Burden of disease (population affected, morbidity, mortality, cost factors)

• Current variation in practice, and discrepancies between evidence-based knowledge and day-to-day clinical practice

• Potential improvements in blood donation processes and donor and product safety
